I'm waiting until he pulls some troops back from Nancy. At the time of this posting he's still throwing /more/ troops there. He either hasn't logged in for awhile or is retarded. If nothing else I'll go through Belgium if I get RoW.

Mostly I'm watching Sweden and preparing to hit Russia (or if Russia/Sweden decide to hit me).

Moving my entry point to Brest and heading straight to the capital. If you want the province Alex, just ask. I have enough food. All I need is an entry point and I'm heading straight to Paris.

If we need to swap provinces at all afterwards just ask, but going for the victory here is more important!

I think I rather stepped in it a bit. I should be able to win the battle, but one of the french forts was much more heavily guarded than I thought. Like I said, shouldn't be an issue in France, but could be in terms of troop numbers in the future.

France is a mess I hope the three of you can clean up without too much of my help. I just destroyed Sweden's attack (quite well if i do say so myself) but what I'm more worried about is Russia... and the Ottomans. They've had freedom to expand and move at will (in secret too) so we really don't know where all the Ottoman troops or the Russian ones, besides the 55 inf and 5 ac I can see.

Also can Spain please commit troops in the south of France...there are 39 troops just sitting on the border, and force-wise I'm pretty much fighting this entire thing myself here.

There's a problem though Alex. Forts. Spain will lose too many men (unless they get some arty or spy success). Fortunately you're not at all alone. Italy has had some decent success and Spain is sitting on Corsica. Plus the second I get decent intel on Nancy and can see I outnumber it my troops will commit as well. Certainly your position is... sketchy BUT since Sweden is now sending all your troops against you at least we can see their hand being played out and the fall of France will ensure lots of production gained and lots of troops freed up. We can can't afford to lose our entire armies in the process...

Oh and FYI Alex Sweden might try for Ireland, seriously. Every British player empties it out so he knows (good alliance remember) that it will be lightly defended. So I would send the troops from Birmingham over.

P.S. Why is Spain sending 3 troops to France?

Good job Grim! That will give us a great edge. The Otto is launching an attack very possible to Italy, and I am trying to get there. Let's hope Zeek can shore him long enough for my troops to reach and help. Also, I am sending some troops to attack the 55 (I can draw them back at any time if decided) but if we sum them to the Alex's troops, we will bloodbath Russia, and be able to make an easy attack. After all, Sweden and the Otto won't help him.

Based on casualty returns in the newspaper, France has committed virtually all of their troops to the battle in Reims against English. Italy has lost essentially all of its army (probably bad playing on my part, but I didn't see much of an alternative). There should be about 7 troops in Limoges and maybe 10 in Nancy, but Toulouse, Bordeaux, Lyon, Paris, and probably Nantes have been stripped bare.

England is facing a counter-attack by the Swedes and I am about to be hammered by both the Ottomans and the Moroccans. Germany is going after Russia, so it is up to you, Zeek, to press hard and seize as much as you can from France.

Hopefully Zab's Austrians will turn the tide against the Ottomans and Moroccans, but there's no telling.

Moving into France, trying not to use too many troops though. Don't forget I still have Morocco on my tail, probably preparing an attack.

Okay Alex it looks like Sweden is being stupid (again). If you can shore him at Newcastle Sweden is as good as out of the game for several days. A week even, unless he wants to throw more men away...

ntcp, I wouldn't say you made a mistake. At least I won't say it if we beat France and can keep the Ottomans/Moroccans out. Here's our advantages on your front. First off, they have to amphibiously land. Second, they will lose morale in a couple hours thank to be in the sea so you will be facing increasingly demoralized troop the longer they wait to land. Third, and most importantly, Zab is sending significant troops to help. Don't worry and don't panic. As soon as your morale goes up just keep pressing France with the troops you already have there. Watch the imminent landing at Brindisi and watch the 73 unit army of the Ottomans.

Good luck in southern France, zeek. And good luck to me in Nancy. Yes folks I've decided to hit them. I can't stand not lending my allies a hand when France is teetering so badly that he just needs a straw thrown on his back to break it.

Lastly, I plan on coordinating with Zab's troops to hit the Russian army in Riga. Assuming he doesn't move... I will try to arrive maybe 5 mins before to absorb the initial shock and then your troops can move in to support. Hopefully I won't lose more than 30k.

Last thing of note, I have plenty of coal and a little oil to spare. I need food. I might need some materials too shortly. No extra cash.

Well now, I won't arrive on time for the biggest part of the Otto's army. What should I do after I attack those 10 troops? Send 30 to the Italian capital, or wait to have RoW to attack the Otto? (By the way, why the f*** I still don't have any RoW and those fuckers do?

Well if you want my advice I would just sit tight. The Ottoman army will take somewhat of a beating (even against 4 troops) so I would hold the line at Naples and wait for a counter assault to occur (likely ASAP after the fall of France). The bonus here is that if you get RoW in the next day or two the Ottomans will be nearly completely defenseless. Even if they take a couple Italian provinces I truly think they are making a massive mistake. I'm more concerned about the Moroccans as we have little recourse available for an attack taking Sicily...

Also, even though you will have to leave a few troops defending against Russian invasion they shouldn't be able to mount to serious of an offensive for a couple more days yet. So throw up some forts and get ready.

Only 1 in all provinces but Paris and Toulouse. Paris' are in view and Toulouse has 4 (and their level 3 fortress is in the works).

4 troops in Toulouse, level 3 fortress on the way. Al others are 1's. I have to deal with Morocco now. They're heading into Portugal. Still got no right of way.

It's Sweden! The 48 troops they're taunting me with are a nightmare, but a stack of what, 10-15 troops from russia could wreak all sorts of havoc for them since that's all their troops at sea, except for the 7 in south, which would be awesome on the materials front. If there's any oil that could come my way though, that would be *awesome*!
